Arsenal are set to unveil their new home kit for the 2024/25 season later this week and, in keeping with recent tradition, are expected to debut it during their final match at the Emirates this Sunday when they host Newcastle United.
Unlike last season, when the Gunners chose to wear their existing strip on the final day against Everton — preserving the symbolism of a potential title triumph in the same kit — this year’s approach marks a return to familiar custom. The club’s penultimate fixture of the campaign, rather than the season finale, will be the stage for the fresh threads, with the last match taking place away at already relegated Southampton.
The upcoming clash with Newcastle is being billed as a de facto second-place decider, with a win for Mikel Arteta’s side effectively securing the runners-up spot in the Premier League. Arsenal will be looking to follow up their spirited comeback against Liverpool with another strong performance, as they aim to finish a challenging season on a high.
The new kit design harks back to the club’s traditional red and white aesthetic, dropping the additional third colour that has featured in recent editions. In 2023/24, a gold trim was used to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Invincibles, while the current campaign incorporated blue detailing in a nod to the modern club crest. This time, Arsenal return to their roots, drawing on classic iconography and a cleaner, purer design.
With anticipation building both for the kit launch and Sunday’s pivotal fixture, all eyes will be on the Emirates as the Gunners look to give their home support a stylish send-off.
