Manchester United’s midfield dynamo, Casemiro, may still find himself on the move this summer, despite manager Ruben Amorim’s recent change of stance, as reports suggest the club remains open to offers.
The Red Devils have endured a dismal campaign, floundering in 14th position in the league table following a 1-1 stalemate with Bournemouth that marginally lifted them above Everton. Amorim’s squad has struggled to adjust to his tactical blueprint, resulting in wide-ranging underperformance amongst his charges.
As Old Trafford braces for a summer of transformative changes, Casemiro’s future remains uncertain, with speculation linking him to various clubs. Interest from Saudi Arabian outfits had initially cooled following a series of standout performances; however, the Brazilian’s future at Manchester United is still hanging in the balance.
As far back as March, Amorim had been candid about his challenges in effectively utilising Casemiro. “I think I’m also learning how to use players like Casemiro,” he reflected, detailing his tactical adjustments in the squad. His efforts to integrate players like Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes into dynamic roles demonstrate Amorim’s commitment to finding the optimal solutions on the pitch.
Despite these challenges, Amorim recently expressed commendation for Casemiro’s contribution of late. “Casemiro is the best example,” he affirmed just before United’s encounter with Bournemouth. “He wasn’t playing initially, but he’s been performing quite well recently.”
Nevertheless, reports from Football Insider suggest that a summer departure for Casemiro remains likely. The club, it appears, will have to weigh up any significant offers for the Brazil international, despite Amorim’s recent reassessment of the player’s role.
